Bitton Gourmet certainly lives up to its name. It’s a beautiful European influenced gourmet café combined food store. When you first enter the café it’s filled with shelves of preserves, crates of organic vegies, olive oils, freshly baked goods and a large barrel of organic baby food, which is supplied by Whole Food. Further into the cafe you’ll find cosy indoor seating amongst the shelves of gourmet goodies and outside towards the rear of the café is a sunny courtyard filled with a variety of tables as well as the children’s play space.

The play space is in the perfect position. It’s tucked out of the way but is still easy to access for parents who are brunching or lunching. Inside the play space children will find various large toy cars, blocks and blackboards which are all sitting on soft-fall mats. My two children had a lot of fun playing in play space while we ate our breakfast from our table while still being able to monitor them play. The morning we visited the place was filled with toddlers and parents, and that was on a week day mid-morning so l can imagine that Bitton Gourmet would get very busy on the weekend.

To fill little tummies Bitton Gourmet provide a breakfast option which is the “baby bitton” scrambled eggs on toast with mushrooms and for lunches they have crumbed fish, beef fillet or spaghetti bolognaise.  To wash it all down Bitton also do babycinos and organic juices. If your little bubba is still on the mushy stuff Bitton also provide Frooshies by Whole Food, which are the pureed fruit in a pouch and other organic baby snacks by Whole Foods.

For little bottoms they also have high chairs and a change table in the ladies toilets.  Inside there is a limited amount of space for the pram, although there is footpath seating with a great view of the park across the street.

To fill big tummies Bitton provide a tasty menu with options such as gourmet sandwiches, all day breakfast and dinner. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and are obviously used to having families through their doors.

We really enjoyed our visit and meals and would have no hesitation in returning.

**Bitton also host Cooking Classes and various foodie events. Check website for more details.
